Clean Braids with Distilled Water

It can be tough looking good in this crazy world, particularly if you hair has been braided, a hair style that can be as high maintenance as they get. This week, we share a few easy-to-follow tips to keep your braids clean and looking cool:

– Using protein enriched shampoo when washing your braids can help both strengthen and enhance their shine. Your stylist will be able to advise which formula is best to use, depending on your hair type.

– When rinsing, try using a spoonful of apple cider vinegar mixed with a 3:1 ratio of distilled water. This magic solution will help remove debris that gets caught up in your braids, which comes along with daily wear and tear.

– Dry your hair naturally or with a hairdryer; rubbing it with a towel can cause friction which loosens the braids, making them look (probably) messier and older than you’d like.
