Distilled water for Carnivorous Plants

Venus flytrap grows with distilled waterWe love hearing from distilled water enthusiasts across the country, particularly when we can see that our plants are being put to excellent use, and helping people do the things they especially enjoy. One such person is Mr K, an expert grower of carnivorous plants, which have been flourishing with due care, attention, and (of course) a drop or two of distilled water. So intrigued and fascinated were we when we heard of Mr K’s hobby that we asked him to kindly send us some pictures, which he did. The Dionaea Muscipula, otherwise known as the Venus Flytrap is a fine example of one of the most difficult plants to grow, as they need to be cultivated in an environment close to their natural habitat- that is, a humid and hot atmosphere. The photo here shows a fine and healthy plant, we’re sure you’ll agree. This plant also likes distilled water
Along with his Venus flytrap, Mr K’s the Sarracenia Juthatip Sope- a hybrid of the North American Pitcher plant- has also been going strong. As you can see from the piccy, this one’s just about to munch on a tasty snack…nice.
If you’d like to share any of your stories or pictures with us, or indeed would just like to have a chat about the wonders and uses of distilled water, please do get in touch and one of our team will be on hand to help you out. We look forward to hearing from you!
