Grow Plants using Distilled Water

pitcher plants love distilled waterFor even the most green-fingered gardener, the most dedicated digger and the most wilful waterer, growing exotic flowers can still be something of a struggle. Being keen to always seek out new and exciting ways of using distilled water, the team here are delighted to offer plant-keepers a new suggestion of how to keep rare, carnivorous plants alive in the changeable UK climate.
The beautiful pitcher plant, native to the East Coast and some part of the Midwest of the United States, is becoming more and more attractive to those wanting to make their gardens look extra special. They need a lot of attention though, as they thrive in an acidic growing environment. This means housing them in (for example) a mixture of peat and sand, allowing the sunlight to get to them, and giving them plenty of distilled water to drink. On top of all this, the soil must be kept moist at all times.
If you haven’t been put off by all the effort needed to grow this delightful flower, then we’d love to see your photos and hear your stories about doing so. We can also supply distilled water if you require it- just in get in touch, and one of our team will be on hand to arrange a delivery for you.
