New Distillation Process developed in Singapore

Singapore will use sea water for distilled waterA new development in Singapore may change the ways in which the country makes distilled water forever, improvising cost-effectiveness, as well as making sure that water contaminated with oil can be thoroughly cleaned.
The collaboration between Memsys Clearwater Pte Ltd (Memsys) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) will take the country into the future of water distillation, allowing companies located at Singapore’s Jurong Island to use seawater- having been turned into distilled water- in their industrial processes, rather than using up precious finite resources. Not only will using the distilled water create less pollution and thus reduce the carbon footprint that industry in Singapore is making on the environment, but this project is one of a number that are planned between the two corporations to continue to work on sustainable development.
If you have caught wind of any great distilled water stories from around the world, whether it’s being used for mass production or even just in your school science lab, please do get in touch and share them with us. We look forward to hearing from you!
