Uncover the truth about distilled water

Water distillers are cheap and simple to use, and have been popular for a long time. Distilled water utilises the principles of natural distillation for creating pure water. If you are worried about the chemicals in your tap water, a filtration system is a smart way to go. Distilling your water is cheaper than osmosis, and kills off the bacteria you don’t want.

Distillation works to purify your water by steaming off the good stuff, and leaving behind the metals, chemicals and impurities.

Distillation will kill and remove bacteria, viruses, cysts, heavy metals and inorganics. To distill water, the water must be boiled at a temperature of 212 degrees, which will kill bacteria, and create steam. As the good water separates from the impurities, any rising gases boil away through a vent. The newly purified steam then cools in a stainless steel condenser.

Despite some arguments that distilling water can remove not just the contaminants but the good minerals also, the benefits of distilled water overall far outweigh these concerns.

Distillers are great energy savers, and are very cheap, and The Distilled Water Company has a range of products that will suit you, whatever your needs.
