To the amazement of everyone, they successfully powered a pick up truck using the water. They used a Dodge Ram from 1997, a vehicle that allows water to be used as part of its fuel and put two hydrogen assist units in it. The power was not produced from burning water, of course. The secret was that those two hydrogen assist devices managed to break the water into oxygen and hydrogen. The truck’s fuel mixture used the produced hydrogen and thus made sure that the gasoline needed to run the truck longer. The astonishing result – instead of going 17 miles per gallon, the Dodge ran 30 miles! The students made the great discovery that the hydrogen boosts the performance of the car’s engine. This means that a lot of money can be saved on gas if this system is introduced in the automobile industry. The students also found out that the hydrogen-assist units that break the water into hydrogen and oxygen must be refilled every 500 miles to work properly. Everyone form the project is very hopeful for the future results of the project and they keep monitoring the performance of the water powered car.

The students are convinced that if you buy distilled water and use it in your car system this will promote the performance of your engine and save you a lot of money on gas.
